Holley is a top-performing and award-winning professional with a distinguished 20-year medtech career meeting key performance indexes in highly competitive and demanding markets. She has embodied the roles of strategic planner, branding champion, and customer retention expert, with a proven record of capturing new markets, impeding competition, and accelerating revenue growth. She was named the 2006 Medical Marketer of the Year by the Medical Marketing Association and worked in the product marketing, marketing communications, and public/investor relations functions for several publicly traded medical device companies, such as Allergan and Intuitive Surgical, with both domestic and international responsibilities. In 2006, Holley founded Grey Matter Marketing, the first medtech brand performance agency designed to help companies achieve and sustain an unfair competitive advantage. She resides in the Bay Area but will always call the South home, so don’t be surprised if you get an email from her with “y’all” in it.

V.A.'s ability to merge customer insights, science and market dynamics to drive unique strategy have resulted in a robust and diverse background in medtech. Over the last 15+ years, V.A. has worn many hats, ranging from market research, to copywriting and project management—experiences that make her the strong and hands-on client services and strategy lead she is today. V.A.’s understanding of complex disease states and molecules has led to great success in high-science categories such as oncology, HIV, multiple sclerosis, and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Her ability to merge complex science with marketing strategy has led to the successful launch of multiple market leading brands for Actelion, Novartis (U.S. and Global), Sanofi Aventis, Tibotec, and TEVA. Her wins in the pharmaceutical aspect of medical marketing have made her a natural in the medtech space as she brings a fresh perspective and established experience. When V.A. isn't making big medtech marketing moves, she can be found hosting family dinners to test out new recipes or out hiking with her toddler daughter.

Valerie is an industry veteran, jumping into the medical device industry straight out of college and never looking back. As Director of Brand Strategy and Client Services, Valerie thrives on solving our clients' "wicked problems" and being their go-to source for strategy and big ideas. Her areas of expertise include direct-to-patient strategy and digital multi-channel marketing, among others. When she’s not working, Valerie enjoys sipping on a hot cup of coffee, teaching marketing courses at a few local colleges, and getting a healthy dose of exercise on the soccer field.

Lauren joined Grey Matter Marketing in early 2016 with the vision of creating an open environment for clients and GMM to communicate efficiently and effectively. As our Account Executive, her goal is to make sure our clients achieve success—however they define it. From daily communication to project management, she is our hands-on client superhero ready to meet your needs in whatever way possible. When she isn't consumed with all things medtech, she enjoys getting lost in the wilderness on a backpacking trip or consuming herself in a creative writing project.

Mia uses her expertise in strategizing and implementing fully integrated digital marketing campaigns across multiple media channels as our Director of Digital Marketing. With a focus on social media and content marketing, Mia has worked with globally recognized brands in a broad range of industries, including medtech, healthcare, and beyond. When she's not in the office, Mia is an intrepid traveler and culture junkie; she enjoys a special kind of love for the outdoors, books and bikes.

For Ronda, medical technology marketing isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to meet those in the medtech industry who are truly making a difference in peoples’ lives. For 15 years, Ronda has enjoyed working collaboratively with clients, and learning about their innovations is a passion. Ronda has deep expertise in practice building, patient and provider education and market research, which she draws upon when managing strategic projects with the account teams. Wearing two hats at Grey Matter, Ronda is also the glue that keeps the company together, managing the day-to-day company operations. Outside of work, Ronda enjoys cheering on her children at sporting events, and beach runs with her Italian Greyhound, Lollipop.
