Medical technology marketing has grown increasingly complicated, not only because of the proliferation of digital marketing channels, but also because the business of healthcare has been changing as fast, if not faster than the technology.

In the Spring of 2013, Grey Matter Marketing fielded an online survey of 108 marketing professionals employed by U.S. medical technology companies. Grey Matter Marketing requested that respondents share opinions and comment on current trends and challenges in digital marketing. Using the survey responses and experience in the field of digital marketing, Grey Matter Marketing developed the Medical Technology Industry Trend Report and a five-part guide to provide medical technology marketers with a roadmap for leveraging the biggest digital marketing opportunities available.

Given how quickly the digital space is changing, we want to update the report to address new trends and changes since the inaugural Digital Strategies in the Medical Technology Industry Trend Report. The purpose of this survey is to tap into the mindset of medical technology marketers and document the industry’s journey through this uncharted territory.

Official Sweepstake Rules 

  1. Sweepstakes begins on May 18, 2015 and ends on July 6, 2015 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

  2. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open to consumers in the United States of America and Canada who have expressed interest in Grey Matter Marketing. Employees of Grey Matter Marketing (“Grey Matter”), its parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional agencies and their immediately family members (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and household members of each are not eligible to participate or win. United States of America and Canadian Federal, State, Provincial, local laws and regulations apply. Void in the Province of Quebec and where prohibited by law.

  3. How to enter the Sweepstakes: There is NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to participate in the Sweepstakes and a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Limit of one entry per person. Enter the Sweepstakes by a. Completing the Grey Matter Marketing survey that was emailed week of May 18, 2015. b. To enter without completing the survey, legibly hand-print your full name, street address, city, state, zip code, and email address on a 3” x 5” card and mail in a self-addressed, stamped envelope with sufficient postage and return address to: Grey Matter Marketing’s Contest Game Piece Request, 555 Florida Street #220, San Francisco, CA 94110.

  4. One (1) prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted on or before July 6, 2015 from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The prize will be awarded, and the Winners will be notified by e-mail by July 6, 2015.

  5. Prizes: One (1) USD $250, or Canadian currency equivalent, Visa gift card will be given to the Sweepstakes winner.

  6. General Rules: a. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. b. Acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for Grey Matter and its agencies to use the Winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winner list, unless prohibited by law. c. Entries become the property of Grey Matter. d. Grey Matter and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, mutilated, misdirected or postage-due mailed entries; faulty or mistranscribed telephone communication, technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes. e. Grey Matter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Grey Matter reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. f. Grey Matter's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. g. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, Grey Matter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel the Sweepstakes and select the Winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation and all eligible mailed entries received. h. BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS GREY MATTER, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENTS, AFFILIATES, DIVISIONS AND SUBSIDIARIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. GREY MATTER AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. This Sweepstakes shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any controversy, dispute, or claim arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes shall be finally settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any such arbitration shall be held in San Francisco County, California, U.S.A., and shall be conducted in English. The parties hereto shall use their best efforts and shall request that any such arbitration be completed within three (3) months from the date a request for such arbitration is made. Each party hereto shall bear its own costs and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) in connection with any such arbitration, and each party hereto shall pay one-half of the charges of the American Arbitration Association and of the arbitrator(s) in connection therewith. Both parties consent to the jurisdiction of the Courts of San Francisco County, California, U.S.A., for the entry of any order, award, judgment, decree, or other such remedy awarded out of such arbitration, and any of the same may be entered by any court of competent jurisdiction.
